About the research

My main research interest is to understand cognitive development. I investigate this by designing computational models based on neurophysiological data that are subsequently used to control humanoid robots. Specific interests are sensorimotor and emotional development. The multidiciplinary approach combines techniques from many different areas ranging from psychology and neuroscience to computer science and robot engineering.
