Abstract: Can we motivate people to feel more empathy and by doing so engage in more prosocial behavior? In a series of studies we test several motivated empathy interventions in different contexts. I will present some preliminary results and discuss future studies with the aim of furthering our understanding of underlying mechanisms and applicability of motivated empathy interventions
