I am interested in children's informal learning during play: what children learn from each other and how toys and play materials are used in play. My interests span from cognitive issues - distributed and situated cognition - to design practice: development of toys or play environments.
I am trained as an artist, specialising in drawing, and drawing is also at core of my interests: artistically, cognitively and pedagogically. How can drawing facilitate brainstorming processes or communication of design ideas? Children's drawings are shaped by the mental concepts of children - does the practice of drawing also change mental concepts?
