My major interest is in exploring the mind and its process as a cognitive system. I think cognition is the convergence point of intelligence and behavior, so to have a complete understanding of how it happens, it is necessary to take a look at both paths. The first leads to investigate the functions of the nervous system such as firing neurons in humans or other animals and machines (computers, robots) and the second relates to study the behavior through direct observation. Cognitive sciences can thus be considered as an interdisciplinary field with contributions from many different fields such as psychology, neuroscience, philosophy of mind and biology.
My Doctoral study was about motion analysis and action perception and to investigate how an action can be recognized and categorized in online interactions between two agents.
