My major interest is in exploring mind and its process as a cognitive system. I think cognition is the convergence point of intelligence and behaviour so to have a complete understanding of how it happens, it is necessary to take a look at both paths. The first leads to study the functions of nervous systems like firing neurons in human or other animals and also machines (computers, robots) and the second relates to study the behaviour through direct observations. Thus to this meaning, cognitive science could be considered as an interdisciplinary field with contributors from various fields such as Psychology, Neuroscience, Philosophy of mind and biology.
My current study is about Action Perception and how an action can be recognized and categorized. This research is being done in human robot interaction and the goal is to make the robot capable of perceiving human's action through observation.
