I am currently an Associate Senior Lecturer in the Philosophy Department, in the Division of Theoretical Philosophy. My research is focused on epistemological and methodological issues in contemporary physics. Much of my recent work has focused on the processes of theory construction, confirmation, and hypothesis formation in particle physics and early universe cosmology. Physics presents a paradigmatic example of successful theory construction and knowledge generation; the goal of my research is to critically examine 20th and 21st century physics in search of a projectable methods of construction and confirmation.
I was recently a postdoctoral fellow at the Rotman Institute of Philosophy (Western University), the Center for Philosophy of Science (Pittsburgh), and the University of Waterloo, where I also taught courses at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics.
