I am a Researcher in Practical Philosophy, specialising in the political theory on migration, refuge, and democracy. My work focuses on normative responses to contemporary issues surrounding refugees and migration. It asks who ought to be recognised as refugees, whether refugees ought to be democratically included, and what is owed to refugees in the Global South. I also have an interest in how these debates relate to methodological discussions on political realism.
Prior to joining Lund University, I have been an Assistant Professor in Politics at Northumbria University (tenured), and have held Postdoctoral positions at RIPPLE (Research in Political Philosophy and Ethics Leuven) at the KU Leuven, and at the Max Planck Institute for Political and Social Science.
I received my PhD in Political Theory from Central European University (CEU) in 2020.
Since 2025, I am also a member of the Steering Committee for the ECPR Standing Group "International Political Theory"
