My academic qualifications include a doctoral degree in Philology - Romance Linguistics (University of Bucharest, 2006), and a doctoral degree in Cognitive Semiotics (Århus University, 2012).
My current work as a post-doctoral researcher at Lund University, the sub-department of Cognitive Science, focuses on the development and evolution of social cognitive capacities, as well as advanced cognition.
These topics are addressed in studies with infants and toddlers (data collection is conducted primarily in Stockholm county), as well as studies involving non-human great apes housed at Lund University Primate Research Station Furuvik.
In the past I was employed or collaborated with the University of Bucharest (1999-2008 as a teaching assistant and lecturer), Università degli Studi di Padova (2000-2001 as a visiting researcher), Århus University (2002-2003 as a visiting researcher; 2007-2011 as a PhD fellow), and the Interactive Institute in Stockholm (2012).
