High-order laser guide star performance for the Euro50 telescope is analyzed. Focus anisoplanatism residual errors using multiple LGSs are obtained by numerical simulations. We report on large-scale ah initio multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock calculations for the UV0.01 multiplet, 2s(2)2p(2)P(J)-2s2p(2 4) P-J', in N III. The resulting transition probabilities agree very well with recent semiempirical calculations, and the lifetimes for two of the three upper levels agree with experiments.
