Ghost Installation: Sparvkvarteren

Ghost Installation: Sparvkvarteren was part of the same evening that Deuterium: Virkesvägen was composed for. It was made with a single, combined recording of sparrows from Solna, Tensta and Hammarby, two clips of synthesizer material, and two recordings of the construction machinery closing in on Virkesvägen 3, recorded the same week we made our event in the Coyote Collective’s exhibition, Pionee

Sustainable entrepreneurship development in the renewable energy sector : Insights from Gujarat, India

Sustainable development lies at the heart of sustainable entrepreneurship. In the context of this view, the current paper explores the linkages among sustainable development, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Since Gujarat ranks among the five top Indian states in terms of renewable energy (RE) potential, we studied this sector using a case study approach. The study explores factors that affects t

Peritraumatic dissociation and chronic posttraumatic symptomatology : Thirty years and counting

Three decades ago, systematic research on possible acute and long-term aftereffects of peritraumatic dissociation (PD) was partly spurred by the proposal of a Brief Reactive Dissociative Disorder (BRDD) and the associated literature reviews and analyses of datasets (Cardeña, Lewis-Fernández, Beahr, Pakianathan & Spiegel, 1996; Cardeña et al., 1998; Spiegel & Cardeña, 1991). The goal was to

Low-Frequency Noise in Vertical InAs/InGaAs Gate-All-Around MOSFETs at 15 K for Cryogenic Applications

Low-frequency noise (LFN), or 1/ f -noise, can be used effectively to evaluate device reliability which is a major concern in analog as well as digital circuits. In this work, we present 1/ f -noise characterization of vertical InAs/InGaAs gate-all-around (GAA) MOSFETs with a 70-nm gate length ( LG ) measured at cryogenic temperatures down to 15 K. The measurements at cryogenic temperatures reveal

Long-term osteogenic differentiation of human bone marrow stromal cells in simulated microgravity : novel proteins sighted

Microgravity-induced bone loss is a major concern for space travelers. Ground-based microgravity simulators are crucial to study the effect of microgravity exposure on biological systems and to address the limitations posed by restricted access to real space. In this work, for the first time, we adopt a multidisciplinary approach to characterize the morphological, biochemical, and molecular change

Time-resolved fluorometry in end-point and real-time PCR quantification of nucleic acids

Two time-resolved fluorescence-based methods for nucleic acid quantification are described and their results are compared. Both methods use an exogenous internal standard to eliminate errors arising from different steps of the assay. The first method is a competitive end-point assay, where the standard competes for the same primers with the actual target sequence, prostate-specific antigen (PSA) c

Structured assessment of modifiable lifestyle habits among patients with mental illnesses in primary care

Patients with mental illness have an increased risk of cardiovascular morbidity. The Swedish-developed Health Dialogue is a pedagogical tool to individualize lifestyle counselling, used in specific age-groups to improve lifestyle habits and decrease mortality, but not tested specifically for patients with mental illness. Patients > 18 years old seeking primary care due to symptoms related to menta

Spectral edge frequency during general anaesthesia: A narrative literature review

Previous studies have attempted to determine the depth of anaesthesia with different anaesthetic agents using electroencephalogram (EEG) measurements with variable success. Measuring depth of anaesthesia is confounded by the complexity of the EEG and the fact that different agents create different pattens. A narrative review was undertaken to examine the available research evidence on the effect a

Clinical studies of extended-half-life recombinant FVIII products for prophylaxis in adults and children : A critical review from the physician's perspective

This review compares the methodology of published clinical studies investigating the extended-half-life (EHL) factor VIII (FVIII) products, rFVIIIFc (efmoroctocog alfa, Elocta®/Eloctate®), BAY 94-9027 (damoctocog alfa pegol, Jivi®), BAX 855 (rurioctocog alfa pegol, Adynovate®) and N8-GP (turoctocog alfa pegol, Esperoct®) including the phase 2/3 studies, A-LONG (NCT01181128), PROTECT VIII (NCT01580

Supply chain competence: A literature study

Purpose Competence is a prerequisite to achieve a well-functioning and competitive supply chain (SC). The purpose of this review is to present an integrated view of the published literature on all the aspects and facets of supply chain competence, and to present a framework for classification and analysis to facilitate further study, practice and research. Design/methodology/approach A structured

The communication for resilience of urban destinations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This paper explores how urban Destination Management Organisations (DMOs) in Sweden, have understood their communicative role, developed communicative strategies and tactics during the COVID-19 pandemic. The overall aim of this research is to develop understanding of the role of communication strategies for developing urban destination resilience. This study is conducted in collaboration with the

In the borderland between song and speech : Vocal expressions in oral cultures

This book focuses on vocal expressions in the borderland between song and speech. It spans across several linguistic and musical milieus in societies where oral transmission of culture dominates. ‘Vocal expression’ is an alternative word for ‘song’ which is free from bias based on cultural and research-related traditions. The borderland between song and speech is a segment of the larger continuum

Performance improvement of proton exchange membrane fuel cells with wavy flow channels : An experimental study

The gas flow field design plays a vital role in the cell performance of proton exchange membrane fuel cells, especially at high current densities. In this study, wavy flow channels are designed and adopted on the cathode side to enhance the mass transport process. Results demonstrate that the wavy flow channels proposed in this paper significantly improve cell performance at high current densities
