To study adhesion in flexible laminates, standardised peel tests are commonly used where macroscopic measurements, e.g. peel force versus peel arm displacement, are extracted. However, insights into the adhesion mechanisms at the microscopic scale are limited. This study has developed a framework for determining peel arm geometry parameter evolution and deformation in packaging material laminates.
