The occurence of introduced and native species and hybrid cultivars of Nuphar and Nymphaea in Sweden is discussed and a preliminary diagnostic key is presented. Swedish occurences of escaped Nuphar advena, Nymphaea ×marliacea, N. ×thiona and N. ×laydekeri are reported for the first time.
