Local parties are a powerful political factor in many Swedish municipalities but haven't gained as much attention as new parties on the national level.

Buy-and-Hold Abnormal Return (BHAR) har vidare analyserats som beroende variabel i den multipla regresThe purpose of this thesis is to investigate whether the intended use of proceeds and the actual use of proceeds are associated with the long run stock performance following SEOs on the Swedish stock market. An event study including a quantitative method with a deductive approach has been conducted. Buy-and-Hold Abnormal Return (BHAR) has furthermore been analyzed in a multiple regression, as the

Acceptance test of a linear accelerator

When a new linear accelerator is installed at a department it is of great importance that it is carefully controlled and calibrated before being put into clinical use. This is done with the acceptance test (AT). The mechanical parameters, the beam performance and the reproducibility of the dose output are tested. For each test there is a requirement which must be fulfilled for the machine to pass

Rising Seas and Rising Tensions – Exploring the Failure to Implement Flooding Regulations in a Swedish Municipality

Rising sea levels and continuous coastal development increase vulnerability to flooding in southern Sweden. National regulations try to increase local consideration of flooding in urban planning, but so far implementation is limited. The aim of this thesis is to understand the lack of implementation and explore how and why implementation failed in a Swedish municipality. In order to study the case

Experimental Investigations of Heat Transfer in a Channel with Ribs and Obstacle

Popular Abstract in English This thesis concerns experiments of heat transfer in a rectangular channel with ribs and an obstacle. Liquid crystal thermography (LCT) is used to record the temperature fields in the experiments. LCT is based on measurement of the color response of a heated surface. When illuminated with a white light, the liquid crystals react to temperature changes by changing color,This thesis presents experimental investigations of local heat transfer in a rectangular channel (aspect ratio AR = 4) with continuous transverse ribs as well as an obstacle. Liquid crystal thermography (LCT) is employed to obtain the temperature fields in the heat transfer experiments. The liquid crystal applied here has a red start at 35°C and a bandwidth of 1°C. The work consists of (1) periodi

The Clash of Justice: A Study of Frictions and Global Mechanisms in the Transitional Justice Process of Kenya

Transitional justice is an essential part in any peacebuilding project. The thesis will seek to study the empirical illustrations in a case study of the transitional justice process

Local Governance of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Air Travel

Global greenhouse gas emissions from air travel (GHG-A) are on the rise, and projections point towards a rapid growth in the coming decades. This study aims to examine how local government (cities), addresses GHG-A in their Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAP). To fulfil this aim, over 200 SEAPs were analysed focusing on three issues: (1) Treatment of GHG-A in local emissions inventories; (2) PoGlobal greenhouse gas emissions from air travel (GHG-A) are on the rise, and projections point towards a rapid growth in the coming decades. Amongst Seals, Cattle, and Boars

This study utilises Correspondence Analysis to investigate the subsistence strategies of Scandinavia's Middle Neolithic Culture of the Pitted Ware Culture (PWC). The aim is to understand subsistence strategies' regional and local expressions across larger geographic areas. The studied material is derived from PWC settlements in Gotland, Åland, Central-Eastern Sweden, and South Scandinavia.

Non-market values of algae beach-cast management : Study site Trelleborg, Sweden

Eutrophication is one of the most serious global threats to coastal areas. One effect of eutrophication is seasonal macroalgal blooms. As a consequence, large amounts of beach-cast algae are today reported from coastal areas worldwide. In this study, we analyze nonmarket benefits by capturing local residents' Willingness To Pay (WTP) for an environmental program to regularly remove and utilize beaEutrophication is one of the most serious global threats to coastal areas.
