Child-Friendly Environments—What, How and by Whom?

The socio-physical qualities of built environments are, in several ways, of imperative importance for children growing up. The Child-Friendly Cities initiative by UNICEF, an implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, has made local governments strive toward child-friendliness. The participation of children and young people is often the focus of such projects, with a potential The socio-physical qualities of built environments are, in several ways, of imperative importance for children growing up. Heat Flows in a Full Scale Room Exposed to Natural Climate

It is, with the thermal models used in today's building simulation progr¿rms, possible to calculate the major part of the heat transfer in a room with an ambientouter wall. However, there are some parameters these models calculatewith less or unknown accuracy: heat flows in poorly insulated walls or windows, heat flows in a room exposed to strong solar radiation, temperatures onthe inside of ambientAn ambient wall with a window were studied with both theoretical analyses and measurements performedunder conditions with natural climate. The method used wes to estimate the heat flow through wall and windowfrom measured temperatures and solar radiation. The longwave radiation was calculated from surface temperatures. The convective heat transfer was caculated as the difference between the heat f

Mainstream market-driven strategies have exacerbated i

Definition of distribution archetypes for aseptic carton-packaged products in South America

Product integrity depends on the way the package is handled and transported; therefore packaging has a big impact on logistics, costs and efficiency along the entire distribution chain. CO induced faceting of Rh(553)

We have investigated the CO induced faceting of a Rh(553) surface using Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM), Low Energy Electron Diffraction (LEED) and Auger Electron Spectroscopy (AES). The sample was exposed to a CO pressure of 1x10^-3 mbar, at different sample temperatures. The experiment was performed in the STM lab at the division of Synchrotron Radiation Research at Lund University. AccordinMy bachelor thesis deals with the change of Rhodium (Rh) stepped surface under pure carbon monoxide exposure, which will help the understanding of it as a catalyst of carbon monoxide oxidation. Catalysts are widely used in different areas and industries as catalysis can help accelerating chemical reactions without itself being consumed. Rh is a metal catalyst used in the oxidation of CO to CO2. T
