Sociology, Social Anthropology and Gender Studies form a new joint department

On 17 October, the Faculty Board decided to merge the Department of Gender Studies and the Department of Sociology. The merger will formally take place on 1 January 2025. The decision means that the Department of Gender Studies will be reorganized from being a separate department to becoming a division within the Department of Sociology, along with the divisions Sociology and Social Anthropology.
