I föreliggande uppsats försöker jag bevisa relevansen av en prosodisk analys av ett högtidstal inför översättningen av detsamma. Hypotesen är att en prosodisk analys av talet kan avslöja implicit innehåll och tydliggöra strukturen i syntaktiskt krångliga meningar i källtexten och att det muntliga framförandet således kan användas som ett slags ”facit” till översättningen.
