Initial Characterization of Massive Multi-User MIMO Channels at 2.6 GHz in Indoor and Outdoor Environments

The channel properties have a large influence on user separability in massive multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (massive MIMO) systems. In this paper we present spatio-temporal characteristics obtained from massive MIMO channel measurements at 2.6 GHz. The results are based on data acquired in both indoor and outdoor scenarios where a base station equipped with 64 dual-polarized antenna el

Procurement Procedures as predictors for cost and time overrun in construction

The choice of procedure during public procurement is assumed to affect the overall result of the project. When studying the construction industry; delivery methods, payment systems and project specific variables may affect the end result. The question here is if project success is predicted by choice of procurement procedures. A survey was done on 222 road and railroad construction projects in Swe

Close-ups from afar: the nature of the informal venture capital market in a spatial context

The availability of external equity finance is one of the vital conditions for emergence and growth of young entrepreneurial firms. Yet, the access to finance is both limited and unevenly distributed in geographical space. At the same time, there is anecdotal evidence that the informal venture capital market plays a significant role in providing small-scale geographically dispersed finance to entr

Engineered Nanoparticles Generation, Characterization and Applications

It is predicted that novel nanometer-sized structures incorporating nanoparticles will have a considerable impact on our lives during the coming decades. Engineered nanoparticles are already found in a number of commercially available products. However, many applications of these nanoparticles have only reached the stage of promising ideas or research demonstrations. The number of nanoparticle-bas

Anorexia nervosa in a Swedish urban region. A population-based study

The total population of 15-year-olds in Göteborg, Sweden, were screened in 1985 for anorexia nervosa using brief questionnaires, growth charts and individual school nurse reports. An accumulated frequency of anorexia of 0.84% for girls up to and including 15 years of age was obtained, with 85% of the cases fulfilling DSM-III-R criteria. Boys were affected just over one-tenth as often as girls. The
