Concrete slabs were east on different ground materials to investigate frietian between the concrete and the ground. Frietian curves are non-linear and bilinear approximations were used to simplify them. This study shows different methods to create the bilinear approximation. Coefficient of frietian depends upon the normal load and the ground materials.
The system effect of sheathed lumber systems is studied, taking into account the variation of strength within and between members. A computer model is constructed and the influence of different parameters on the system interaction is examined. A method of calculation is developed for a new type of lightweight crossbar. To prove the validity of the method it is verified with practical experiments. Data for the material used for input in the method is experimentally determined in most cases.
