Enheten för förbränningsfysik är sedan 2001 lokaliserad i Enoch Thulin-laboratoriet vid Fysiska Institutionen. Verksamheten är inriktad på att öka kunskapen om förbränningsprocesser med forskning av både experimentell och teoretisk natur. Den experimentella forskningen är inriktad på utveckling av laserbaserade mätmetoder för bestämning av bl.a. temperatur och ämneskoncentrationer.
