Vi studerar blod- och immunsystemet och dess sjukdomar. Ett särskilt fokusområde är hur medfödd genetisk variation påverkar hur blod- och immunceller, och hur sådan variation kan utnyttjas kliniskt. Vilka gener och genmutationer styr t ex risken för blodcancer? Kan vi utnyttja dem för att förebygga och behandla? Vilka styr vår blodgruppsuppsättning? Kan vi utnyttja dem för säkrare transfusion? EttWe study the blood and immune system and its diseases. A particular focus area is how congenital genetic variation affects blood and immune cells, and how such variation can be utilized clinically.
