Det är av stort värde att skapa goda förutsättningar för ägarskiften i befintliga fåmansföretag som möjliggör att upparbetade värden i företag med tillväxtpotential tillvaratas. Fåmansföretag omfattas idag av ett särskilt fördelningssystem, de s.k. 3:12 – reglerna.
