The pseudoscalar meson eta(b) has been searched for in two-photon interactions at LEP II. The data sample corresponds to a total integrated luminosity of 617 pb(-1) at centre-of-mass energies ranging from 161 to 209 GeV. The tau lepton lifetime has been measured with the e(+) e(-) --> tau(+) tau(-) events collected by the DELPHI detector at LEP in the years 1991 - 1995. Three different methods have been exploited, using both one-prong and three-prong tau decay channels. Two measurements have been made using events in which both taus decay to a single charged particle. Combining these measurements gave tau(tau) ( 1
eta(c)(2980) production in gammagamma interactions has been detected via its decays into K(s)(0)K(-/+)pi(-/+), K+K-K+K- and K(+)K(-)pi(+)pi(-) in the data taken with the DELPHI detector at LEP1 and LEP2 energies. Infrared and collinear safe event shape distributions and their mean values are determined in e(+)e(-) collisions at centre-of-mass energies between 45 and 202GeV. A phenomenological analysis based on power correction models including hadron mass effects for both differential distributions and mean values is presented. Using power corrections, alpha(s) is extracted from the mean values and shapes.
