Kamratgranskning av laborationsförberedelser i reglerteknik

Laborationer är ett frekvent återkommande inslag i kurserna vid Institutionen för Regerteknik. Laborationerna tar mycket resurser i anspråk, och det är därför viktigt att skapa förutsättningar för att studenterna skall få ut så mycket som möjligt av dem. Studenterna förväntas inför varje laboration läsa på relevanta delar av kursmaterialet, samt i vissa fall även lösa några förberedelseuppgifter.

Who is the author of the translated text? The Swedish translation of Dinah Mulock’s A Woman’s Thoughts about Women

This paper will discuss authorial and editorial voices in connection with Sophie Leijonhufvud’s translation of Dinah Mulock’s A Woman’s Thoughts about Women (1858). The pronounced aim of the translation was to mediate Mulock’s ideas on womanhood to a Swedish audience. The Swedish translation was published by the Swedish women’s periodical Tidskrift för hemmet in 1861. Leijonhufvud was one of the f

Crisis Communication in China: A Social Constructionist Approach

Crisis communication is a field dominated by functionalist and objectivist perspectives even though there are exceptions. With a departure in an alternative epistemology – social construc-tionism – this paper provides a reflective approach to understand crisis communication as a contextual and cultural construction process. Focusing on the social construction of crisis brings a much-needed approac

A comparison of untagged gamma-ray and tagged-neutron yields from 241AmBe and 238PuBe sources

Untagged gamma-ray and tagged-neutron yields from 241AmBe and 238PuBe mixed-field sources have been measured. Gamma-ray spectroscopy measurements from 1 to 5 MeV were performed in an open environment using a CeBr3 detector and the same experimental conditions for both sources. The shapes of the distributions are very similar and agree well with previous data. Tagged-neutron measurements from 2 to

Possessive predicational vocatives in Scandinavian

Scandinavian is known to have vocative phrases that contain a possessive second person pronoun and a noun, and possibly also one or more adjectives, as in the Norwegian example din lille fjott, which means ‘you little dork’ although din is formally identical to the possessive pronoun for second person singular. In this paper, I will show that possessive predicational vocatives, as I call them, inv

From Algorithmic Management to Data-driven Labour Organising -A trade union approach to workplace datafication

The increasing datafication of the workplace is often cast as a means of imposing organisational and managerial control on workers. This reflection note moves beyond this view and coins the term data-driven labour organising to discuss the potential of workplace datafication as a way to inform workers about their working conditions and how to use data to advocate for their collective goals. Cloning, expression and characterization of a versatile Baeyer-Villiger monooxygenase from Dietzia sp. D5.

A novel BVMO encoding gene was identified from a draft genome sequence of a newly isolated strain of Dietzia. Analysis of the protein sequence revealed that it belongs to a group of BVMOs whose most characterized member is cyclopentadecanone monooxygenase (CPDMO). The gene was PCR amplified, cloned and successfully expressed in E. coli. The expressed recombinant enzyme was purified using metal aff

Myriad reloaded and ready for the next round? The Association for Molecular Pathology v USPTO., 689 F.3d 1303 (Fed. Cir. 2012)

In March 2011 the Supreme Court issued its Prometheus opinion and granted certiorari, and reversed and remanded Myriad I for consideration in light of Prometheus. In August 2012 the Myriad II decision was issued. The panel in Myriad II repeated most of their separate Myriad I opinions. Myriad deja vu looked much like Myriad I with panel members agreeing that Prometheus did not control the composit

Tool Wear Mechanisms of pcBN tooling during High-Speed Machining of Gray Cast Iron

The presence of graphite particles in gray cast iron commonly implies a good machinability, especially if compared to common steels. However, increasing industrial demands have resulted in a new interest for high-speed machining of these materials with higher performing tool materials than the traditionally used. Thus, the research presented in this paper focuses on evaluating the active tool wearThe presence of graphite particles in gray cast iron commonly implies a good machinability, especially if compared to common steels. Dull punch line is not a joke – Worn cutting edge causes higher iron losses in electrical steel piercing

© 2018 Elsevier Ltd Electrical steel is used for the active parts in electrical machinery that form the magnetic circuits because the material experiences low iron loss, and thus, has superior magnetizing properties. A typical electrical sheet has a thickness of 0.5 mm and is punched into its final shape via a piercing process. Piercing causes large deformations and residual stresses in the narrow

Total Synthesis of Dehaloperophoramidine : Evolution of a Synthesis

This account describes our efforts toward developing a stereodivergent entry to perophoramidine and the communesin alkaloids. The original approach toward our simplified model substrates relied on a palladium-catalyzed carbopalladation–carbonylation of a tetrasubstituted olefin to install the vicinal all-carbon quaternary stereocenters present in the target molecules, the olefin's stereochemistry

First European Case of Simultaneous Liver and Pancreas Transplantation as Treatment of Wolcott-Rallison Syndrome in a Small Child

BACKGROUND: The concept of organ transplantation as treatment for complex genetic conditions, including Wolcott-Rallison syndrome (WRS), continues to show promise. Liver transplantation is essential for survival of patients with WRS, and pancreas transplantation cures their type I diabetes mellitus. METHODS: The recipient, a 3-year-old girl weighing 14 kg at the time of transplantation, suffered f
