Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka gravt synskadades rätt till ledsagarservice enligt svensk rätt och praxis. Uppsatsens frågeställningar besvaras genom användningen av en rättsdogmatisk metod där en undersökning har skett av lagtext, förarbeten, doktrin och rättsfall. Uppsatsen är indelad i två moment.
