Genom att utvärdera Skochparametern och skapa tre konceptkompressorer har examensarbetet försökt komma till en slutsats om hur bladens längdförhållande påverkar en kompressors verkningsgrad och stabilitet. Skochparametern visade sig fungera mindre bra som ett verktyg och det visade sig att ett lägre längdförhållande innebar en liten minsking i verkningsgrad, men en betydande ökning i stabilitet.
