Syfte: Uppsatsens syfte är att diskutera kapitaltäckningsreglernas betydelse för kreditgivning. Detta uppnås genom följande delsyften: 1) Redogöra för de nuvarande och kommande reglerna i samband med Baselkonventionens förslag och dettas genomförande i Sverige. 2) Beskriva och analysera kapitaltäckningsreglernas betydelse i de fyra största svenska bankerna före och efter den kommande förändringen.
